Services OfferedAcupuncture/Traditional MedicineEmploys the insertion of fine needles to specific points in the body to promote balance of the body's vital energies, stimulate the body's natural healing mechanisms, and promote healthy immune system function. It is used effectively both for the treatment and the prevention of conditions which compromise our health. This treatment is discussed in depth on our site and may also use adjunctive treatments including moxibustion, Gwa Sha, Cupping, Electroacupuncture, Acupuncture Injection Therapy, Chinese Herbal Prescription, Nutritional Counseling, Acupressure and Non Needle acupuncture techniques are available as an alternative to needle insertion. Physical TherapyA non invasive approach to restore optimal function to the musculoskeletal system, nervous system, and reflexes when injury or disease has caused a decline in function and/ or quality of life. Our clinic places a heavy emphasis on manual (hands on) therapy techniques to restore normal joint alignment and mechanics, balanced muscle length, strength and coordinated function. Physical Therapy also employs additional modalities such as heat/ice,ultrasound,electrical stimulation to break pain patterns, control inflammation, and excessive muscle tension. Structured therapeutic exercise is always an important aspect of recovery to achieve long lasting results and prevent future injury. Specialized training in Reflex Response Technique, allows our therapists to achieve immediate changes in the body within the first few visits, jump starts the healing process even for those with chronic pain conditions, and shortens length of time required to attend therapy sessions.
Therapeutic MassageNo longer considered "pampering", massage therapy is appreciated for its vital part in the treatment and prevention of injury and illness. Through the manipulation of soft tissues, massage aids in promoting circulation of the blood and lymph, relaxation of muscles, relief from pain, restoration of metabolic balance. It is an excellent aid to physiological as well as psychological well being. It is often recommended as a follow up after treatment to maintain results and prevent recurrence. Spinal Decompression TherapyNegative pressure created in the nucleus pulposis of the discs by proper spinal decompression allows compressed discs to be re-oxygenated, re-hydrated, and re-nitrified. Increased fibroblast activity stimulated by spinal decompression may also help to scar tears in the annulus (cartilaginous rings) of the disc. Spinal decompression therapy is suggested for those with spinal pain with or without radiation into the extremities, and for those who have not met with success with the less invasive types of therapy offered.
